As I was reading through my Bible study this morning, I read this Scripture:

1 Corinthians 2:10-12 woo!
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the Spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of this world, but the Spirit who is from God, so tat we may know the things freely given to us by God….

READ IT AGAIN!!! 🙂 God tells us His thoughts through the Holy Spirit!! Do you see it? Praise God.

The Holy Spirit reveals to us the depths of God. I am overcome by this thought. Can you imagine the “depths of God”.

The Lord is bringing to mind this Scripture:

  • Romans 11:33 “Oh the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

Praise You Jesus!! He is unsearchable and unfathomable…yet God has given us His Spirit to have access to search His depths!!! Just pause for a moment to consider the depths of His riches. Unfathomable! Glory to God.

God Can Never Exhaust His Resources!

I heard that quote yesterday from Priscilla Shirer at our church’s women’s Bible study. Think about it…God’s resources will never run out! God can never have too much on His plate!! I guess that’s why Jesus said this:

” Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
-Matthew 11:28-29

Jesus, I come to You will all that weighs on me, whether it’s something as simple as going to the grocery store or something as serious as watching someone go through a painful divorce. Oh Jesus, I pray for restoration of families, husbands & wives. I know You can do it!! It is not too hard for You, God!! You restore, You deliver, You make whole. Father, I lay my hopes & desires at Your feet.  I know You desire unity in Your children…may it be so, in Jesus’ Name! Thank You Lord that You never run out! Your living water never runs dry but keeps overflowing. Bless the Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I’ve really been feeling close to the Lord the past two days. It’s not that I’ve spent more time in prayer or Bible study…but I’ve just felt a closeness to Him that I haven’t experienced very frequently in recent times. Thank You Jesus! I feel an overflowing thankfulness and joy knowing that He knows every one of my thoughts and He rejoices in who I am! How cool is that?

I love You, Jesus! Holy Spirit, I pray that Your presence will be with all of Your children today. Thank You for Your love, be manifest today. Reveal to us what is on Your heart, God. Thank You Lord for Your patience and overflowing love that never ever runs out! Thank You God! I love You, Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

All of them!! Jesus fulfilled it all. May His promises to you be fulfilled in your life today 🙂

God bless you!

Just wanted to make another mention of my book 🙂 It’s still for sale on Amazon.com – in Kindle version and paperback. If you’ve got questions, God’s got answers; He showed them to me and I wrote them in this little book 🙂

Growing in Jesus

about present-day prophecy, speaking in tongues or praying for healing?

I’m so excited to announce that

Kindle and Kindle apps for only $4.99!

If you have questions about spiritual gifts, like these ones:

  • So it’s obvious that Jesus healed. But He’s God! Of course He could do that. But what does that mean for everyday people like me?
  • If I do receive my own “prayer language,” how should I use it in public?
  • Well, what if I ask for the gift of tongues, but I don’t receive it?
  • Let’s say I do have the gift of prophecy. How do I know when God is talking to me?
  • What if someone walks up to me and tells me something and they say it’s from God, but I’m not so sure. What do I do…

Thank you to Out of the Fire for this awesome post on hearing God’s voice! She’s got a great example for us 🙂

Out of the Fire

People often tell me that they have difficulty hearing God.  Many times the problem is not that we don’t hear Him, but that we don’t recognize the small ways He is speaking to us in our thoughts every day.  I’m going to share with you a recent experience from my own life, which is a practical example of hearing God’s voice and responding to it — both what I did right and what I did wrong.

One evening last week, a concern popped into my thoughts about our teenage daughter falling down the stairs which lead from her bedroom to the ground level of our house.  The stairs are a little steep and uncarpeted, and she often takes them in a hurry, so this would be a bit of a natural concern for me.  Because I tend to be in a flow of prayer most of the time, my natural response was to say a quick prayer for her safety and then move on…
